Conserving the water that comes out of a faucet

Conserving Water

Help Us Conserve

Conservation is Critical to Our Future

Saving water is key to the future of our region.

The population in the area we service is expected to nearly double by 2030. As our communities grow, so does their need for water.
In addition to new water sources, water conservation and reuse will play a crucial role in providing the water we need in coming years. Conserving water will make Upper Trinity Regional Water District’s (UTRWD’s) current supplies last longer. This will help us meet water needs until new projects—which take years to construct—can be added to the system.

Our Water Conservation & Drought Contingency Plans

Upper Trinity is in the process of updating the 2019 Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plans, which are due to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and Texas Water Development Board on May 1, 2024. You may view the current Plans below. For questions, please call 972-219-1228.
