At the Upper Trinity Regional Water District,
we provide towns, cities and utilities in North Texas with essential water, wastewater and waste disposal services. Currently we provide:
- Treated (Drinking) Water and Non-Potable Water ()
- Wastewater Treatment ()
- Household Hazardous Waste Collection ()
Preserving and protecting our environmental assets is very important to us. In addition to these essential services, we also provide other educational and outreach programs related to water conservation and watershed protection.
Upper Trinity was created by the State of Texas as a conservation and reclamation district in 1989. We are a regional, non-profit government agency authorized to provide water, wastewater, solid waste and storm water (watershed protection) services on a wholesale basis in the Denton County area. Our revenue is derived from the services we provide rather than any power of taxation. We were organized by the cities and utilities we serve, and designed to be progressive, responsive and competitive.
