Conserving Water

The population in the area we service is expected to nearly double by 2030. As our communities grow, so does their need for water.

In addition to new water sources, water conservation and reuse will play a crucial role in providing the water we need in coming years. Conserving water will make Upper Trinity Regional Water District’s (UTRWD’s) current supplies last longer. This will help us meet water needs until new projects—which take years to construct—can be added to the system.

We also currently partner with the Denton County Fresh Water Supply District #1A to supply treated water for , and have initiated various campaigns to inform and encourage our area neighbors about the importance of water conservation.
